Sarah Lopez

As Principal Consultant and Owner, Sarah has over 15 years of experience directing high-stakes operations, growth initiatives, and major projects for large non-profit organizations and educational institutions in some of the nation’s largest cities including San Antonio, TX; San Diego, CA; and Louisville, KY. She holds a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), a bachelor's degree in Sociology and she is certified in group facilitation. She is skilled in change management, organizational development, public relations, and strategic planning with extensive experience advising and supporting C-suite executives.
David Lopez
David is our Founder and Senior Consultant who brings over 20 years of experience in launching, managing, and expanding organizations. He has a wealth of expertise in business development, fundraising, organizational management, program design, and board development, serving both for-profit and non-profit sectors. His strategic consulting and coaching are deeply informed by his time in high-impact leadership roles, including Global Knowledge Lead for Fundraising and Development at Teach For All, Chief Development Officer at Metro United Way, Founding Executive Director at Teach For America - San Diego, and Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer at USAdelante.
We also work with a network of talented associate consultants who offer specialized expertise in areas such as research and data analysis, creative design and marketing, AI integration, legal and regulatory compliance, and more.

Our History
Valor Insights was founded in 2022 with a clear purpose: to accompany leaders and entrepreneurs in turning their vision into reality. The name “Valor” carries meaning in both Spanish and English. In Spanish, it means value and worth. In English, it means courage and bravery. We believe the best consulting partnerships happen at the intersection of the two.
From the beginning, our focus has been on partnering with leaders navigating pivotal moments—launching something new, growing what exists, or reimagining what’s next. These moments require courage. And they deserve real value in return.
Although we began operating in 2022, our consulting draws on decades of experience in starting, leading, and growing organizations. We have had the privilege of working with local, state, national and international organizations across sectors—spanning nonprofit, government, higher education, and business. In every engagement, we carry a deep commitment to helping our partners move forward with clarity, alignment, and measurable impact.
